This bamboo censer is made for the lighting of agar wood. Designed to allow the incense to be burnt along the bamboo, it is held up primarily by a cicada. Cicada is a fengshui symbol for longevity; it is an insect that can live up to 20 years. The other 2 insects, the scorpion and the snail , provide for the well being of the dwellers.
